Experiment: - Place one teaspoon of butter on each of your two plates. - Place the plates in a sunny spot. - Cover one of the pieces of butter with the jar. - Come up with a hypothesis (your best guess!): Which piece of butter will win the race by melting 昀椀rst? (If you really want to do it right, you’ll give each piece its very own racing name.) - See which piece of butter melts 昀椀rst.
